Horseshoe Bay Beach is also a fantastic locale to take a walk, go for a swim in the clear waters, and climb on the majestic rock formations.
Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse is one of the tallest cast-iron lighthouses in the world. For a very cheap entry fee, visitors can climb 185 steps to the top of the lighthouse to see a breathtaking view of Bermuda. After spending time exploring all of the incredible parts of Bermuda, it is a great idea to climb to the top of this lovely structure to see it from a bird’s-eye view. There is also a lovely gift shop at the bottom of the lighthouse.
Located in St. George’s, Bermuda, St. Peter’s Church is a historical landmark that is sure to intrigue anyone who visits. Established in 1612, St. Peter’s Church is the oldest Anglican church outside of the British Isles and the oldest Protestant church in the New World that is in continuous use. Amazingly, it is still in great condition. This landmark has even been designated Their Majesties Chapel, by the Queen in 2012. The church has an incredible organ donated by the people of Canada and a historical cemetery.
Both of these caves are stunning, with unique formations and platforms on which to see beautiful sites. If you have a rainy day while you’re visited Bermuda, this is a perfect way to make the most of that day. And even if you don’t have a rainy day, both caves were beautiful and worth the visit. The enthusiastic tour guides bring visitors through the caves and bring life to the incredible stalactites and stalagmites. Just make sure you’re prepared to climb a lot of stairs.
5) Bermuda Aquarium, Natural History Museum & Zoo
When you’re in an incredible location like Bermuda, who wouldn’t want to see all of the beautiful creatures that live there? The aquarium and zoo are bound to be fascinating and fun for the whole family. This center is small but has a lot of fascinating animals from sea turtles to lovely birds like flamingos and a scarlet ibis. Admission is very affordable and some of the animals, such as lemurs, are just walking around the property so that you can see them up close.
